CASCADIA MUSIC CORRIDOR

AKIMI is a founding member organization of the Pacific Northwest regional music initiative known as the Cascadia Music Corridor, with partners in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, and developing cooperation with Canada.

Four state-level peer organizations have come together to collaborate, develop shared resources, and work on improving working conditions and interstate travel opportunities for our artists. Together we can better understand and advocate for the regional music economy we refer to as “Cascadia.”

This initiative was jointly announced at the Music Policy Forum in Boise, ID in December 2023:

Founding Partners:

Cascadia’s work focuses on music industry knowledge sharing, musical “trade routes”, and regional economic analysis via standardized shared data. We look forward to more cooperation between states and provinces for the benefit of music scenes all across the Pacific Northwest region.
